Beautiful short stay accommodation nestled in The South Downs
Flint accommodation offers beautiful short stay accommodation nestled in The South Downs. Whether you are looking for a peaceful retreat, an activity weekend or a cosy getaway, we have two cottages perfect for small families or groups of friends. We have two cottages, both with unique charm.
Both cottages can be rented separately, but their locality to one another means that they are perfect if you have a bigger party to accommodate.
The cottages are run by us, Sally and Darren, a husband and wife team. We live locally (but far enough to leave you to enjoy your stay, but close enough to be on hand should you need anything) and fell in love with Houghton and its surrounding areas.
Flint Cottage is a quirky and cosy small cottage. Located next to the River Arun, this Grade II listed building was once the Tollgate House for the bridge over the river and it's owner was responsible for taxing horses, cows and other "beasts" on their commute! Lovingly restored by us, it is now a cosy 3 bed dwelling. It has retained all its charm, but been brought up-to-date with thoughtful new additions.
Almost complete: We are in the process of re-decorating new accommodation in Amberley which we will be launching soon.
